About Our Ministry
Our goal at Love Center is to bless the body of Christ and expand His Kingdom. We serve to equip, encourage, comfort and exhort the body of Christ to realize the abundant life promised by Jesus Christ in John 10:10. Our ministry efforts align with the flow of the Holy Spirit in the earth and result from submission to the priority and authority of the Word of God, fervent prayer, time of meditation, and studying and living the Word of God.
At Love Center our motto is, “OneBody:EveryBody!”. Our goal is to be led by the Spirit of God. At Love Center we consist of many members who work together as on harmonious entity to accomplish our God given vision to propagate Gospel. Our services are prophetic, anointed and Spirit led. We invite you to grow with us.
We invite you to worship with us every Sunday at 11 am. Our ministry is open to all of God’s precious people without exception.
Beliefs
INSPIRATION OF SCRIPTURE
We believe the Bible both the Old and New Testaments are verbally inspired of God and are the revelation of God to man and inherently reveals the will of God and all things necessary to our lives and salvation. God’s word is the final and absolute authority. (2 Tim. 3:16)
ONE GOD
We believe that there is only one God manifested in three persons, with God the Father being the first in the Godhead, eternal in existence, perfectly Holy in nature, righteous, just loving, full of mercy and Sovereign over the universe. (1 John. 5:7; 2 Corinthians 13-14) He only is God, creative and administrative, Holy in nature attributes and purpose. He as God is first in the Godhead, an essential being, revealed as Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.
We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, the second person of the God-head, eternally one with the Father, Redeemer and Savior of mankind. He became incarnate by the Holy Spirit and was born of the Virgin Mary so that two whole and perfect natures, (the Godhead and manhood) are thus united in one person, very God and very man, the God-man. He performed miracles, lived a sinless life, died for our sins, reconciles mankind to God through faith in His atoning death and shed blood, and that He truly rose from the dead and took again His body, together with all things appertaining to the perfection of man’s nature, wherewith He ascended into Heaven and is there engaged in intercession for us. (John. 1:1-2, I Tim. 3:16)
We believe that the Holy Spirit is the third person in the Godhead, sent by God and is ever present in the life of the believer to empower, comfort, teach, and lead them in the things of God and convinces the world of sin, regenerating those who repent and believe, sanctifying believers and guiding them into all truth as it is in Jesus. (John. 15:26, I Peter 1:2)
SALVATION
We believe that salvation is by grace, through faith alone whereby the moral nature of the repentant believer is spiritually quickened and given a distinctively spiritual life, capable of faith, love and obedience. The salvation of sinners by grace, through faith is the all-sufficient work of Christ on our behalf upon the cross of Calvary.
REPENTANCE
We believe that repentance, which is a sincere and thorough change of mind in regard to sin, involving a sense of personal guilt and voluntary turning away from sin is demanded of all who have by act or purpose become sinners against God. (1 John 1:9) The Spirit of God gives to all that will repent the gracious help of penitence of heart and hope of mercy that they may believe unto pardon and spiritual life.
THE GREAT COMMISSION
We believe the Lord commissioned His church – the body of believers — to undertake the discipleship of the world.
BAPTISM
We believe in the Believer’s Baptism by immersion as an outward symbol of dying to the old life and being resurrected with Christ anew; signifies rebirth; and is an outward expression of the believer’s inner conviction and faith. (Matt. 28:19-20, Acts 8:26-40, Rom. 6:3-5, I Corinthians 12-13)
We believe that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is available to all believers and results in empowerment of the believer to live a Godly life.
HOLY COMMUNION
We observe the ordinance of the Lord’s Supper as an act of obedience to our Lord’s instructions, understanding that the elements are symbolic not literal but representative of His given body and shed blood. (I Corinthians 11:23-26)
Pastor Jesse Covington
Our Pastor is Elder Jesse Covington. Elder Covington is originally from Rockingham, North Carolina and he was born on June 5, 1960. He is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Little Jr. His mother notes that the hand of the Lord has always been upon his life. His first encounter with salvation came in 1977 while attending a revival conducted a Miracle Valley Deliverance Citadel revival. Under the leadership of Apostle Arthur Jackson and Evangelist Lizzie Jackson our pastor was trained and continues to be mentored in deliverance ministry by both of these tremendous leaders.
Pastor Covington attended North Carolina A & T State University where he received a BA in Electrical Engineering with honors in 1982. Upon graduation our pastor married the love of his life; our First Lady Laura Covington, and relocated to Charleston, South Carolina. Pastor and Lady Covington are the proud parents of three children; Cedrick, Adrian and Jessica.
Upon relocation to Orlando, Florida during the fall of 1983 God’s hand continued to work as our pastor was led to the United Church of God by Faith located in Winter Park, Florida. It is at United under the leadership of Elder Herbert Green Jr. that God began to cultivate the ministry calling for our pastor, specifically to the office of Evangelist, as confirmed through prophecy many years earlier. Under the leadership of Elder Green our pastor’s heart burned with the pursuit of the Gospel and as a result Deliverance Citadel Ministries, Inc (DCM) was birthed in the Central Florida area. While at United our pastor served for 6 years as an active ministry staff member in the capacity of youth department president and ministry head for the publicity and hospitality ministries.
Our pastor is a licensed and ordained elder of the Churches of God by Faith, Inc (COGBF). He remains a firm advocate for enhancement of ministry gifting and calling through formal education. Our pastor has received an Associates and Bachelors of Arts degrees in Bible and Theology and a MS in Bible Theology from studies at Faith Christian University (FCU) located in Orlando, Florida. Our pastor has completed all course curriculum toward a doctoral degree at FCU. Pastor Covington currently serves as a seminary instructor and secretary of the COGBF Examining Board of Elders and Ministers.
Our pastor values the fellowship with other church leaders and pastor as key to ministry counsel and mentorship.
